Services
Tuning
To mediate between the two annual extremes of humidity, tuning twice a year is recommended for the most stable and consistent quality. If the piano goes longer than a year without tuning, instability increases. After a lapse in service, the piano may require multiple tunings.
Voicing
Did you know that your piano's tone is adjustable? Have you noticed that your piano doesn't sound as good as it used to? Voicing is the little known but imperative adjustment for these types of issues. Typically only concert venues and dealers consider voicing to be a regular part of their routine, but all pianos benefit. There are options available for brightening, mellowing, or regulating the scale of its voice.
Regulation
Every key on the piano sets off a separate but identical chain of mechanical interactions. Regulation optimizes each adjustment to establish consistency across the keyboard, maximal dynamic range, and responsiveness to the performer's input. For actively used pianos, regulation is recommended every 5 years.
